Is this Apostolic? Cuz I have been Apostolic for 21 years, and attended a number of different churches and conferences, unfortunately, this looks more like a Hillsongs concert. Its sad.

I have no idea why anyone would compare NAYC to a Hillsong concert. They aren't even in the same ballpark. Not even close.

Please explain the need for colored strobe lights? and the waving arms? And no real worship, just cheerleading.

I was shocked to read anonymous' comment. It was something I was thinking myself.....and there is actually someone else who thought the same thing as me. Wow.

I am tired, tired, TIRED of the professional, insincere, feigned worship. Perfect hairdos (with *slight* touches of make-up - just in case the camera is on them). Give me genuine, heartfelt, anointed singing. This isn't it.

Please don’t judge NAYC by this one video. Perhaps I did a disservice by only posting this video of the final Friday song before NAYC officially ended. View many more at the link above and see if your opinion changes.

The Friday preaching was magnificent (a blend of deep insight and emotional challenge I had never experienced before), the altar call long and heartfelt to the point most of the musicians were praying together away from the stage, before finishing with songs that were anointed and unified.

This one video portrays the final anthem that had emerged from the Congress, a fitting emotional end to an anointed meeting of 15,000+ Pentecostal teenagers. Celebrating together before dismissal is not carnal, fake, nor outside of God’s will. It is a heartfelt response to God’s goodness.

I understand your points, but think your thoughts will change if you view a few more videos of the music and preaching on YouTube.

kdc: Let me assure you, I did. I watched every one of the videos on youtube, in the hopes of finding something that felt anointed. I usually listen to IBC online, and I have never been critical of them. I have felt anointing when they sing. There was something very different this time. (And I know they weren't all IBC singers, but just as an example).

I am glad that there was a move of God. I didn't hear the preaching. But as for the music, the more I listened to the more I came to my opinion.

To all who critical Pharisees that feel this wasn't spiritual enough for you -- BAH!

What's so bad about a Hillsong concert anyway? I mean, you say that like it's a bad thing. LOL

It's an arena full of 18,000+ kids, you act like they will use candle light and an accordion. Find another battle to fight! Typical OP's that just fight among each other and try to out-spiritualize the other.

I can careless about judging the music, nor am I their biggest fan, but the comments here probably don't even deserve the time of a reply.

Doug R: Ah yes, anointing. That ever-elusive presence of God that we "should" have in our Apostolic services, but tends to take second place to things like performance, image, and perfection. I think the problem is a good chunk of professional Pentecostals have forgotten what the spirit of God is REALLY like, making them the same as any other "Christian" church.

@anonymous This group of people were put together for the sole reason that they stand for truth and dont live on the edge but walk a narrow path. I was there and know many of them. Just because you listen to it and don't feel anything doesnt prove anything to anyone. This is an anointed group of ministers who are mostly in full time ministry all over the country. They don't need someone like you to tell them they aren't anointed. Just because they are really good and it's a big production doesn't mean they are not under the unction and provision of the Holy Ghost. There was a very powerful move of God there all 3 nights and it wasn't about show or glitter. It was about WORSHIP. If you cant see that by watching many of these videos than you should search your own heart before you discredit some of these people who have already impacted more lives in 3 nights than you may have in all of your life.

@Titus: it was a performance. Like I said, I have been Apostolic for many years, and I could care less about how professional or whatever a worship leader is. I care about the anointing of God. The special singing did nothing for me. Even songs I love did not touch me in the least. There was not a sense of true worship or anointing.
