Everyone's Apostolic

Late last week Kent asked me to check out a new web-networking site he'd been invited to join - Everyone's Apostolic. Well, what with my busy holiday weekend galavanting around the city with my family I didn't have a chance to look into it. So imagine my surprise when I showed up at work this morning and had an invite of my own (and no, not from Kent, I do have other friends)!

About five years ago, Everyone's Connected became a huge craze among Apostolics - even though it was never intended to be solely for Apostolic use. It was a cleaner, safer environment than MySpace and it wasn't long until it seemed you could find anyone you may have ever known in Apostolic circles on EC. Sometime in the past six months or so (I honestly have no idea when) EC became Ubuti and there is simply no polite way to put it - Ubuti stinks (so maybe that was semi-polite). Well, someone finally got the bright idea to create a site for Apostolics modeled off of the networking site craze and that's where Everyone's Apostolic comes in.

I spent about an hour on the site this morning setting up a profile and looking at some of the features. So far I can only say GREAT things about it. It has the simplicity and the best features of EC/MySpace/Facebook combined. You can upload photos, blog for everyone to read, upload and share music and join all kinds of groups that share your interests - Apostolic Chef's, Apostolic Hair-Dos (very important with it being camp season and GC coming up). There is also space for advertising if you have a business you'd like to promote. By far my favorite feature is just how easy it is to search for potential friends. You can search by name, location, age, relationship status, AND church attending.

It is by invitation only so if you're interested in joining let me know and as long as I can vouch for the fact that you're not totally debauched we'll see what we can do. If you're already on there I'd love 1) be your friend and 2) know what you think about it!

I'm really pleased with it. I hope it stays clean and professional. I like that kids as young as 13 can be on it.

I do wish people would learn to spell already, some of the groups/video titles are just horrendous.

Ahhh, so I'm not the only one who's noticed the "educational" issues. lol

Some people know me as a “grammar freak”. My wife is just like me, in that regard. I have her proofread my papers before I turn them in. If I find an error after I have submitted something it causes me great angst (like in the comment before that I had to delete because I found errors and I want to maintain my image).

I look down from my Pharisaical grammar cloud at the lesser individuals who do not know what spell/grammar check is on a computer, or do not own a dictionary. The fact that many of them could care less whether their grammar stinks, or not, only adds to the pain I am called to bear. I even use periods, commas, and capitalization on the few text messages I send out. I am not like this publican [young teenager] over there who has never heard of an apostrophe.

Praise the Lord!
I heard from a sister today that was visiting our Spanish UPC that you could contact others in the UPC through the "Everyone's Apostolic" website.
Yet, when I went to the website; it said, "By invitation only."
How can I get an invitation?
I am wondering why they can't have something on the website that says if you want to be a part of this website, send an e-mail to this certain address with a little about yourself and we will look into whether or not you can join. I have been a One God, Apostolic, tongue-talking, holy roller, born again, Jesus Name baptized in immersion of water and living for God for about 20 years! Hope that would qualify me to be a member of "Everyone's Apostolic"! So, how can I get an invite???
I will check back later as I don't want to leave my e-mail for all to see. Thanks and God bless you :-) Sister Sandy

Sorry for the delay folks. It's been a crazy few days.

Jay and Ccmm you're invitations have been sent.

Sandy, I'm not sure why they don't have another option but if you'd like to email me (snookum77@aol.com) I'll send you a personal invite so you can join and no one here will see your email.

Don't waste your time, folks. You aren't allowed to say anything in their forums unless it lines up exactly with their views.

I really would enjoy a site where I know it will be a clean environment, unlike on myspace where you are liable to run across anything! O_O I'm 19 and was raised old school apostolic and still am old school, baptized in Jesus name and filled with the gift of the holy ghost. Could someone send me an invite? My email is christina5linx@yahoo.com

Hi: I would love to have an invite to Everyone's Apostolic. I am Apostolic and have been for 42 years. It sounds like a great site!

I'm not sure who Steve is, but I'd guess he doesn't have a lot of friends, and the ones he has are probably as smug and snobbish as he is. I wasn't aware that a lack of proper English or education was a requirement for being appreciated as a friend or even a member of the human race. You are definitely a Pharisee, and the fact that you seem proud of it only adds to your condemnation. I must confess, I ain't never saw a more haughtier spirit in all my borned days.

Hmm...Seems a little condescending to make sport of people who havent figured out spellcheck. Thats all.If it wasnt for God grace, good genes and loving parents you probally wouldnt spell well either.

My name is Pastor Langham. I have never heard of this site until recently. I would like to join. I have been in this great truth all my life, and during this time when it seems all people are turning away from this glorious doctrine it would be great to have a place to go where people are of like faith. So if it's not too much trouble please send me an invite to johnny.langham@yahoo.com.

Thanks
